Mountain State College’s Higher Accounting/Management program is designed to provide you with a thorough knowledge of fundamental areas of accounting concepts and business procedures. 

Accountants are no longer just “crunching numbers” or “keeping the books,” they are essential to the goals of the organization.  Accountants plan the company’s future by analyzing trends and historical data, developing the strategies, and troubleshooting areas with inefficiencies.

This is where you come in…by obtaining an education at Mountain State College, you will have the accounting and management skills necessary to fill vital positions in our society.  While attending Mountain State College, you will have the opportunity to become a Nationally Certified Bookkeeper certified by the National Center for Competency Testing.  You may choose to have a career in payroll, tax accounting, or office management.

Making it work

Mountain State College maintains a Career Services Office. The Director of Career Services assists all students in their job search.

Classes start soon and class sizes are limited. Financial Aid (grants, loans and work-study) are available to qualified students. The college also assists with many part-time employment opportunities. Use our Response Form to get more information about our programs!
